Although understandably never able to find their footing like Nike, Adidas has given it a good run in their advertising over the years.Although our favorite is the now-defunct "Impossible Is Nothing" campaign (poster shown here which sits in my office), they've continued to do good work which unfortunately tends to constantly be overshadowed by their bigger, more famous competitor.
The new campaign? If you give 100%, Adidas will contribute more to your performance. Legally. Kind of like that guy that Barry Bonds gets his "medicine" from, right?
Anyway, great ad and worthy of some attention and containing a lot of star power (albeit mostly international and not as well known in the US, other than Dwight Howard). We're looking forward to seeing the rest of the campaign.
If form follows, there will be continued focus on sport-specific campaigns featured on broadcasts and at events relating to those sports. What Adidas lacks in general market advertising, they more than make up on local levels.
What can I say, I loved the Impossible is Nothing campaign. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxajN4BTLlo
