Seen @ 1201: Amazon Kindle 2

We just couldn't bear another dash through the airport with books flying everywhere ... War & Peace, Dante's Inferno, Calvin & Hobbes.

Enter this little baby, which is about as big as a book and as light as a magazine. It also makes you smarter (we used to call that "non-dumber") by letting you instantly look up the definition of any word.

Read books on it. Read magazines on it. Browse the internet on it. If we can get it to start dating and elope with our cell phone and digital camera, it may make life even easier.

Yep ... costs an arm and a leg, but books are about 1/2 the price the "old school" version will run you. Besides, aren't you supposed to keep up with all the cutting edge gadgets if you're in marketing?

Go get one and do something heretical with your old books, like burning them. Just kidding.

Book Rec: The Long Tail

If you're one of the seven people in the world who've not yet read Chris Anderson's breakthrough book, The Long Tail. If you are in fact one of those people, pick it up, put it in your hands, and read dear friend ... read.

Great insight and analysis on trends in sales and marketing and how those pesky folks over at iTunes seem to be draining my bank account ninety nine cents at a time. Fortunately, we can only buy Hanson's MMMBop mp3 one time or we'd really be broke!
